Purpose
The primary purpose of the research project titled “The Impact of Digitalisation in the Judiciary on the Principles of Civil Procedure Law” is to comprehensively analyze the effects of digitalisation on the principles that govern civil procedure law from a broad perspective. In this context, the project aims to examine the structural changes, opportunities, and potential risks arising in the justice system through the integration of digital tools and advanced technologies into legal processes from a multidimensional standpoint.
Furthermore, the project seeks to address Turkey’s existing legal infrastructure by considering international best practices and comparative analyses to identify the most suitable applications for Turkey. Drawing on digitalization experiences from different countries, the project will strive to develop recommendations for appropriately adapting the innovations brought by digitalization in civil procedure law in accordance with the governing principles. Additionally, it will assess how digitalization might alter the meaning and content of these principles.
The project also aims not only to theoretically investigate the effects of digitalisation on civil procedure law but also to propose legislative recommendations in this area and introduce new digitalization-related terms into Turkish legal terminology.
