With the dedicated efforts of our project coordinator Serkan Kaya, our researchers Arb. Prof. Dr. Nesibe Kurt Konca, Seyhan Sel\u00e7uk, Harun Muratogullari, and all team members involved, we conducted a highly productive event.<\/span><\/p>\n

The workshop aimed to comprehensively address the effects of digitalization on judicial processes, discuss the adaptation of the principles governing civil procedure to digital transformation, and evaluate the current status in this field. Thanks to the active participation of academics, lawyers, notaries, judges, as well as representatives from the Information and Communication Technologies Authority, the Ministry of Trade\u2019s Directorate General for Consumer Protection and Market Surveillance, and relevant units of the Ministry of Justice (Directorate General of Legislation, Directorate General of Legal Affairs, and Directorate General of Information Processing), a rich environment for knowledge sharing was created.<\/span>[\/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space height=”10″][\/vc_column][vc_column][vc_column_text]The workshop began with the introduction of the project by our project coordinator Serkan Kaya, followed by a welcome speech from Prof. Dr. Ali Emrah Bozbay\u0131nd\u0131r, Dean of Bo\u011fazi\u00e7i University Faculty of Law, who also discussed the historical development of procedural principles, and an opening speech by Deputy Minister of Justice Mr. Niyazi Acar summarizing the digital advancements in the judiciary over the past twenty years.<\/span><\/p>\n

Session 1: The Current Status and Legal Infrastructure of Digitalisation in Civil Procedure Law<\/strong><\/span>
\nModerator: Deputy Minister of Justice Mr. Niyazi Acar contributed significantly to the session\u2019s productivity by guiding discussions on the current status and legal infrastructure of digitalization in civil procedure law.<\/span><\/p>\n

Session 2: The Impact of Digitalisation on the Principles of Civil Litigation: Issues and Debates<\/strong><\/span>
\nModerator: Prof. Dr. Sel\u00e7uk \u00d6ztek brought a unique vision to the workshop through his leadership and in-depth academic perspective on the transformation of civil procedure principles.<\/span><\/p>\n

Session 3: Recommendations and Roadmap for Digital Transformation in Civil Justice<\/strong><\/span>
\nModerator: Prof. Dr. Murat Atal\u0131 laid the groundwork for strategic discussions regarding proposals and the roadmap for digital transformation in civil justice.<\/span><\/p>\n

During the sessions, applications such as UYAP, e-hearing, e-notification, and e-notary were discussed alongside the impacts of digitalization and artificial intelligence tools on the right to a fair trial, legal certainty, and the right to defense. Moreover, strategic recommendations for digital transformation were developed based on international best practices.<\/span><\/p>\n

We express our gratitude to the esteemed session chairs who guided our workshop in their respective fields, as well as to all speakers and participants who contributed with their knowledge and experience.<\/span><\/p>\n

The workshop has established a strong foundation for building our projects on solid ground. We will continue our efforts to contribute to a more just, transparent, and accessible judicial system!<\/span><\/p>\n
